Weather
Keel Camping is located on the stunning shoreline of Keel Beach, on the Wild Atlantic Way, and with this raw beauty comes raw and unpredictable weather!
Achill can be windy & occasionally gales blow in, which haven’t been forecasted.
While this is fabulously refreshing, blowing out the cobwebs, it is important that guests consider this before booking with us. While we do our best to advise guests of the weather, by displaying the weather on a board at the Minaun reception building, there are times we cannot predict the winds, and unfortunately tents and awnings have succumbed to these events during our last season. It is advisable that all guests monitor the weather before and during their holidays and ensure their units is suitable for the elements and well secured and monitored. Gazebos / Shelters
Due to the unpredictable weather and possibility of high winds, gazebos and shelters are not suitable on our site, and are therefore not permitted.
Campfires
As above, due to the unpredictability of the weather and winds, campfires are not suitable on our site, due to high risk of sparks flying the damaging people and property onsite.
Late arrivals
Check in time is 2-5pm, however on request (by phone) we can accept a late check in up to 8pm only. No entry to vehicles onsite from 1am to 8am.
